Rooms are warmed by our wood chip bio fuel boiler giving a comfortable temperature throughout the house. Night times are quiet, very quiet, the lament of a barn owl or fox bark is all that is likely to disturb you. Wake up call is of the feathered variety: the decibel range varies between geese, ducks, pheasants and partridge. Bathroom and shower rooms are high spec and with the sustainable fuel source there is never a problem with extended times in the tub.

The sitting room like all reception rooms has a large open fire, perfect for unwinding before and after dinner. It is furnished with antique furniture, old family portraits and comfortable sofas. The dining room, looks out over the lawn sloping down to the River Wensum. In the summer drinks and tea can be served in the garden, this is also a great spot for watching sunsets.

Carrick’s, is the perfect base to explore our fascinating county, from the wide open beaches of North Norfolk to the special heathland and forests to the south. Through our agreement with English Nature, we are able to offer guests an insight into the stunning beauty of this very special area. A series of interconnecting permissive footpaths enable visitors to find peace and quiet rarely experienced today.
