Bongate House offers quality bed and breakfast accommodation in a fine Georgian house on the outskirts of the attractive town of Appleby-in-Westmorland. The house has extensive gardens with fine views over the River Eden and Appleby Castle.

The B&B has 7 guest bedrooms which comprise of 2 family rooms and twin/super king rooms. One of the king size rooms benefits from having a balcony to relax on. All of the rooms have en suite facilities. All guest rooms have a TV, tea/coffee making facilities and Free Wi-Fi.

Breakfast is served in the large dining room and consists of a farmhouse style breakfast. There is also a spacious lounge. We have about one acre of garden for your enjoyment to explore at your leisure.

The B&B is located close to the town which includes shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes. Appleby is also a perfect place for you to explore the Eden Valley and all it has to offer and even further afield you can visit the Yorkshire Dales, The Pennines, Hadrian’s Wall and the Lake District.

Dogs are welcome but we only have two dog friendly rooms. Please call ahead to check availability. The charge for a dog is £15 per night and there is maximum of two dogs per room.
