Find Your Ideal B and B in Seahouses
The coastal town of Seahouses is situated between the lovely villages of Bamburgh and Beadnell. The town came into existence in 1889 when it’s harbour was built and it is now known as ‘The Gateway to the Fame Islands’. When you come to visit the town you certainly should visit the Islands if you can which have puffins and seal colonies. If you can’t find the time to get to the Islands there is still plenty to do in Seahouses.
For family day’s out there are lovely beaches with golden sand dunes which have a lovely view of Bamburgh Castle. There are activities such as windsurfers, kite surfers and surfing at the beach. If you enjoy walking and cycling much of the coast is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the coast path runs from Seahouses to Beadnell. For cycling there is The Great North Bike Ride which takes a similar route and finishes at Tynemouth Priory and Castle. If you enjoy a round of golf there are a number of excellent courses in the area and there is also a crazy golf course in the area. You can also go horse riding at the Slate Hall Riding Centre where you can even ride along the beach.
