Melrose B&B provides high-quality bed and breakfast accommodation in Clonakilty. Situated just a few minutes’ walk from the charming West Cork town of Clonakilty, Melrose B&B is in quiet surroundings whilst being very convenient to the town. Melrose has private parking and large gardens with a patio area for visitor’s use. Proprietors Chris and Noel O’Brien will give their personal attention during your stay.

All guest rooms have been tastefully decorated and furnished, ensuring guests feel right at home from the moment they arrive. Room amenities include:

Refreshments tray with tea, coffee and fresh spring drinking water.
Hairdryer.
En suite facilities.
Ironing facilities available on request.

An extensive breakfast menu is offered with locally sourced produce, home baking and fresh spring water from our own well. We also cater for vegetarians and guest with special dietary requirements.

Guests are welcome to use our spacious gardens. Guests are also welcome to use our picnic area with BBQ, seats and tables and also a permanent gazebo with seats, table and hammocks. Noel and family will give their personal attention and help during your stay.

The West Cork area has a wealth of attractions close by, such as:

The West Cork Model Railway Village and road-train.
The Michael Collins Centre.
Stone Circles.
Drombeg Stone Circle & many other historical sites.

You will find plenty of beautiful coves & beaches nearby, including the well-known Inchydoney Beach. Golfers are not short of courses, with the most well-known course nearby being the Old Head of Kinsale. Other popular activities available nearby includes:

Horse-riding.
Walking.
Fishing.
Bird watching.
