Railway Country House offers luxury affordable accommodation on the edge of the bustling town of Gorey which offers a host of pubs, cafe’s, restaurants and fantastic boutique shopping. We are 1.5km from the main street. Railway Country House is set back from the road and once guests come under the railway bridge they are treated to a huge garden, a recently renovated property, with a guest patio, and secure parking.

We are just over 1 hours drive from Dublin Airport. Wicklow is very accessible from our location, meaning its a fantastic base for guests who want to explore the nearby Garden of Ireland the beautiful coastline of the sunny south east. There is horse trekking nearby and a selection of wonderful golf courses. Gorey train station is 2 km from us and there is an hourly bus to Dublin from Gorey main street. We are also minutes by car from Courtown and a host of beautiful sandy beaches.

We offer a varied choice of bedrooms, all of which have been recently refurbished as we extended and modernised the property. Please enquire for further details about the rooms we offer. All bedrooms are en suite, with TV, free Wi-Fi, tea facilities, complimentary toiletries and a hairdryer. Ironing facilities are available on request.

Free private parking is available onsite as well as a guest lounge.

Breakfast is included in the room rate and is cooked fresh to order each morning. Guests can avail of continental and cooked breakfast options including Gluten free options. Our meats are all locally sourced and we have free range eggs from our own chickens and homemade bread when available.

There are several attractions close by such as Kia Ora Mini Farm, Tara Hill, Ballymoney Beach, Wells House, Pirates Cove, Seal Sanctuary in Courtown, Glendalough and Wexford Lavender Farm.

This is also the ideal accommodation if attending a wedding at Ashdown Park Hotel, Marlfield and Seafield.
