The Avoncourt Lodge can be found on a private road in Ilfracombe, Devon and is an ideal base for those who are walking the South West Coastal Path. We are just a stone’s throw from the stunning cliff walk and within easy reach of the amenities in Ilfracombe.

Our aim is to provide guests with comfortable B&B accommodation, where you can enjoy a good night’s sleep followed by a hearty breakfast to set you up for the day. For walkers, we also have a drying room available; this is a great place for damp clothing. Safe storage is available for cycles. All of the guest rooms include a beverage tray with tea and coffee, TV with Freeview and free Wi-Fi internet access.

We also have a ground floor room available. This is suitable for those with limited mobility, those requiring wheelchair access and is especially useful for those travelling with dogs as it is nearest to the front door.

After a long day exploring the area, guests can return to their comfortable en suite guest rooms, many of which have full length tubs which are ideal for soaking tired limbs. Alternately, why not relax in the comfortable lounge library or our fully stocked honesty bar.

The South West Coastal Path runs right past the front door. Turn right and you have stunning walks along the cliffs and National Trust land. Turn left and you are only a few minutes’ walk from the famous Tunnels Beaches with their safe bathing, fascinating rock pools and beautiful wedding venue. The harbour and sea front, wide choice of restaurants and traditional high street are all within a 20 minute walk.
